There showing pre-race stuff now, but don't know if they show the race itself. Might be better than nothing though. http://channelsurfing.net/watch-indycar.html
Got it on, something to fill in the blanks between HAMB, Ford Barn and eBay. Later today the Roadster body is going out for a photo shoot.
For years it was my grandfather with his radio, my dad and I huddled around listening. Grampa has been gone more than 30 years and sometime over the last 20 years or so I just lost interest. The cars no longer relate to anything I care about and the infighting and politics just leave me cold. I'll be walking a local cruise instead.
I remember listening to the race on the radio back in the 1970's while restoring my Riley 4Port race car. If my memory is right the TV coverage was played later in the evening. The Lotus/Ford era was the last batch of cars I enjoyed watching.
It's on here with the announcing of the drivers now at 09:34. It's still the Indy 500 and it should be a good race even if the cars are all cookie cutter cars.
Trick Question! It's the network that wants the lowest ratings for the Sunday before Memorial Day, ABC! I'll watch bits and pieces of it, but it's just not what it was even 20 years ago. Where's the personalities/really great drivers going head to head? Hard to watch a race with a handful of good drivers and a bunch you never heard of. Lots of big shoes to fill. Maybe I'm wrong and it'll be different this year..... hopefully.....
You can't get it online either? I"ve been watching all the cable/Versus only broadcasts on the computer. Go here and register. http://racecontrol.indycar.com/?type=false
It's just not like it used to be. I remember watching it as a kid with my dad.....lots of great racing and colorful personalities. Not so much these days.
Yea I had that on for a bit, but they aren't showing any of the good bits (crashes) or any of the replays. Just the silly helicopter view.
ABC channel 7 in the Chicago area. First year in a long time not being at the race. Much better being there than listening to the blabber, princess danica bs and never ending commericials on the tube I'm finding.
Pretty good race, other than my M-I-L's hubby *****ing about "all these guys do is turn left", to which I told him "Get your old, crabby *** and make ONE lap, if it's so easy!".
