Just planted this crusty T in my front yard yesterday. Been wanting to do something like this for a long time. I want to find a rusty bucket for it, make the lights work,[going to try to do the lights solar, anybody do this before?] and its done. The MRS. is just as stoked about it as me, she is already talkin Halloween and XMAS decorations for it.
Have a great Memorial day, John

Walmart has some solar lawn lights in the garden section on a tube. $3 each. The acual light part comes apart leaving just the LED light ad solar panel left. Take a look may be neat for headlite and tail lights.

That's so depressing because it looks almost identicle to my current build.

I've threatened to do that with a 2-ton Chevy truck. I think my wife is okay with it but I'm not ready to piss off the neighbors that bad...

Why not build a car out of it? I don't get it.

I'd be piecing that jalopy back together until the day I had enough parts to drive it out of the yard!:D

I like it. Are you planning on landscaping around it? That will definetly set it off.

i spy with my little eye the makings of a modified.

My neighbor has a full fendered 32 ford pickup as "lawn Art" and said he'll never sell it. Plants flower in the box which is falling apart.

Neighborhood ***ociations around here would have a crowd gathered with torches and pitchforks or worse, a lawyer! before you got the lights hooked up. Why that's as bad to them as a flagpole with the US flag and TX flag flying proudly.

Yep going to plant some more stuff around it. Traded it for some sandblasting work. To all the build it guys, this thing is ROUGH! What sheet metal that is'nt rotten is paper thin, frame is swiss cheese.
Neighbors so far have been positive.

Better for it to be real yard art than hauled off to the s****per for a few bucks.

Show us some photos of when it's all set up and finished.

Yep, there is an HOA. But I got two things going for me, I have welded something or another for several of the folks that live on my street, and the wife is "EL PRESIDENTE" of the HOA. ;)

Build it.No reason it can't run and still be a ''lawn ornament.''

Sad, It won't be built. I'm the one that found that for J scow and helped him go get it off the farm. It's not as bad as you make it out to be. I know it's a pile. But it's still a T Roadster pickup.....a lot worse has been saved.
