Yeah I like this one...hahaha! maybe you should carry a rock in your pocket to put under the tire...I do! well at least a peice of 2X4.
My worry would be how to get it up the embankment without more damage.

He's gonna need a good set of homemade ramps for sure to get that truck out of there with as little damage as possible, before worrying about drying it out.

I read on here somewhere that a truck rolled into the river at the Show at Memory Lane in Rogersville, TN yesterday. I'm betting that this is it.

Tell you what, I'll apologize to you all, if ALL of the posters above that took the cheap shots will do the same.

I've not been on this site long, but in every bad luck, unfortunate or tramatic intance I can think of that has been posted here, from injurys, deaths, crashes, stolen cars, vandals, gargage thefts, etc. NOBODY has made fun of the victims, regardless of the situation.

It's not that I don't have a sense of humor, it just works when the situation is appropriate. Gary

Here's the cell phone pic my bud sent me...

It did happen at Memory Lane in Rogersville TN yesterday afternoon. Said it rolled down a hill and in to the drink... I think he said the owner thought it had jumped out or was knocked out of gear. No one was hurt aside from the owners pickup and feelings. Supposedly has good insurance...I imagine he'll find out how good tomorrow morning.

Seeing the tree it's sitting on in the last picture I can't believe there isn't more body damage. I guess there might be after it get's pulled out.

If it does not have a working emergency brake the truck should be taken away from the owner and never given back,I always get them working when I put a vehicle togather and use it everytime its parked.

On many vehicles, setting the parking brake is the only way that the rear shoes, and sometimes pads, get adjusted.

you get one of thoes big truck wreckres with a rotater extenable boom and the right driver and that will lift out with very little damage added, other than what happen when it went in. man that will really ruin your day no matter who you are. if you are a real car guy you feel bad for this guy.hope it comes out ok.

some of you guys need to get off the 'street rods' are bad kick. Just because NSRA uses the term to ascribe some exclusivity to pre-49 modified cars, doesn't mean that they guys that build them (for themselves of course) are less competent than some of you that denigrate anything that smells of time and skill, but might have a later-model engine or radial tires (hotrodding was started to "improve the breed"). I consider myself a hot rodder, but I've owned a few of what you purists may call street rods, but I assure you that with the exception of the interior and sometimes the painting, all the wrench marks are mine.

This blanket "gold chainer" label for anyone with a nice set of aftermarket wheels and shiny paint is just too broad of a brush. I know who the goldchainers are (they're the ones powerparked with lawn chairs to save spaces for their pals that are still at the clubhouse spa), but not everybody with a street rod is a dickhead.

  23. Oops, looks like I got to agree with you on this subject. Some of you guys think a nice car is something bad.Thats a nice truck that I would be proud to own.A lot of work has gone into it.Its a lot better to have than a rat rod.

haha when i first saw the pic I thought "huh, maybe itll rust real quick and take that stupid paint job off".

It is a nice truck and Im sure the owner cares about it alot but I do hate a street rod.

I'm surprised at the lack of damage, it must have had some momentum as the grill appears unscathed.

If this did happen at an event can you imagine all the arm chair quarterbacks the wrecker guy had to deal with on how the truck should be removed?

emergency brakes dont hold very well when the vehichle goes backwards because of the shoe design. as for the opinions they are like assholes nuff said.
