Had a 65 ss with a 327 mouse back in the day. It was to *** light. I welded rods in the trunk to add weights when I raced it. Had it for years until some old ***** tBoned it...................
Nice car, leave it as is... Interesting to note that it has 'commercial' license plates. BTW, did you know those wire wheel covers were also available as 13"ers (for Corvairs, I think)? A friend of mine had a set in his garage when we were kids back in the '60s and I always wanted to buy them, but for some reason they were never for sale. Probably still there...
Way II nice to mess with! My son has a '66 sport coupe we bought for his 16th birthday... over 20 years ago! He will never sell it! It's a sleeper with a 383'' Roller motor in it. Congrats and enjoy!
acadian car guy, here is a pic of my sons '67 Acadian SD with a SBC Ramjet. Fired up a for the 1st time a couple of nights ago!
Very nice indeed ! I would be all over that ,like white on rice......... I love love to find one in my neck of the woods for sale.
i have owned 18 1962-65 novas since about 1974 and i have to tell you that is as nice as any nova i have ever seen!
Thats real nice. Mom had one like that but Dad sent it to the wreckers because it pitched a rod. I begged him not to but it still went bye bye.
nice? you call that nice?.....thats practically museum, show quality and all it is is nice? you are crazy!!!
WAY nicer than mine!! You done good. I know there are those who say "don't mess with it", but after doing the CPP mini-sub swap on mine I like driving it about 670% better. Either way, just be sure you talk your daughters into letting you use it once in while!! -Terry
I had the mini sub in mind, but after driving this one it does not behave too bad, of course it can't get out of it's own way....I will most likely leave it as is for now.
Wow! That's a de ja vu for me. I started with that exact car (not nearly as nice) about 10 years ago. A 4.3L v6, a 700R4, front disk brakes and you will have a great little commuter car. Daniel
Beautiful car! About 35 years ago a friend had one, with a six and Glide like yours. Another friend had a 64 Falcon, six auto. They'd drag race light to light downtown, but NO ONE would notice! They'd be rocking the seats trying to go faster, and us p***engers would be laughing our heads off! Nowadays, I'd love a car like yours. Easy to drive, quiet and comfortable. Good luck getting it back from your daughter! Ralph
