Hey All, Just wondering if there are any shows or cruises in the N.W. this weekend? I'm in Portland, but I'm not opposed to a little road trip. Thanks!
Cruzin magazine has the running list for the whole year in each issue. You can usually find the new issue at Top Foods or Freddies It looks like some of the interesting ones are Wild Horse in Pendleton 28/30 800-654-9453 Tiger run in Redmond, or I never herd of that one Might be a one brand event. 27/30 503-304-9298 I checked and that seems to be a GTO only meet from what I read. Corsa rod and custom cruise in Prinevlle 29 541-548-8368 I've been to the one at Wild Horse a couple of times and although the casino puts it on they show folks a good time and it is an open event. There are a few more listed but all would be a reach from Portland without prior planning.
I plan to attend Cruzin to Colby on Sunday. http://www.seattlerod-tiques.com/cruzin.html North of Seattle so maybe a little far...
I was there. It was definitely a cruise rather than a show. Hard to take pictures and impossible to talk to the owners/drivers about their cars when they stay in motion the whole time. Fun to see that they all really work but a couple of them I really wanted good pictures and some talk... They have a show tomorrow but I'm not sure I can manage to get there. And of course I have no way to be sure the two I wanted to talk to will be there. There was a faded blue '52 or '53 GMC 1/2-ton 'shop truck' that I'd like to have looked under to see how it was lowered. With everything in motion and running it was hard to be sure but it sounded like a six to me and it did have six lug steel wheels on it. There was a brown '54 Chevy 1-ton panel (long!) that was definitely not HAMB friendly, but which had a third door in the side. I'd love to have been able to check that door out and talk about how it was done. The conversion from 8-lug to 5-lug disk would be interesting too, but only because I'd like to be able to describe to others how someone actually did it. Anyone recognize either of those trucks from my brief descriptions?
