today i lost my turn signals and my brake lights. the signals will work with the flasher switch. the turn signals will do nothing by themselves, front or back.

what do you guys think? tail lights work fine.

    it's a 68 chrysler newport.

    any help?

    thanks

Check all fuses first. Maybe the turn switch in the column jacked up. Turns and brakes cross up in there. Try spraying some wd40 in the turn switch (if you can get to it) and work the switch back and forth. They are old and touchy some time.

I had the Same problem, and it was a short to my trunk Light. But I would check out the blinker switch first.

Check the rear of the headlamp switch for a fuse. All the lights ran through a 30 Amp fuse on the rear of the switch in the 40 and 50's may have extended into the early 60. when it goes you have no lights except as noted by the seperately powered E flashers.

90% of the time it is the brake light fuse.
