So I pretty much wrapped up the right side and made my way to the drivers side to put the fender skirt on and this is what it looked like.So after a while of grinding out old bondo this side looks like the other side did.

I hope you get that done in time for the sins of steel show in Davisburg, MI. Formerly billet pr@@f. We are Michigans original traditional car show.

More work on the drivers side.Seems like I've been gathering more parts than working but sometimes you start to get wore out.

looking good. hookin up sedans is cool too, especially if you've got little ones to haul around.

  13. The pics in your post#46 tell me that you don't need to chop it. I think you're on the right track, with the extended skirts and shave. Looks like it sits right, too. There's a dark blue Chevy 4 door in the Coachmen's 1955-'57 show thread that you might want to check out.

The key to having a cool mild custom isn't the number of doors. It has more to do with taste and restraint.

Oh, and in your next progress thread, try not to use such a confrontational title. I'd like to see how your car is coming along without all that dimwitted blather about 2 doors vs 4 doors. That bullshit is a waste of time, wouldn't you say?

Finally pulled the car out of the garage a little bit to blow the dust off of it. I was trying to get out in the garage all weekend but my wifey had different plans for me! Why cant our projects be on there "honey to do list"? She did come out in the garage and gave me her input that she dosent like fender skirts but I can decide. I've been stairing at this car to long to know what I like- with or without. What do you think?

I would run the fender skirts. Put the other caddy caps on the wall. If for some reason something happens to the front two you will have extras.

Im thinking of running the skirts, I wanted to have it done for sins of steel but I still have to get paint on it and install the 4 link and air bags on the rear. Hopefully by the 4th of July!

I just bought a 53 chevy 4 door and Im loving it! Your car looks rad! keep up the great work! Cool thing about skirts is that you can change your mind in a few minutes and run with or without. Do it both ways for a while, see what you like.

when i got out of the Navy i had a 40 ford 4-door. i'd take that back seat over a 2-door back seat any day---great looking car.

I got all the paint stripped off and started sling some dough.Stayed out there till 1 am last night and right back at it at 7 this morning. I WILL BE IN PRIMER BY THIS WEEKEND!!!(I hope:D)
