I.D. My engine and carb please

    Sitting in my 59 f100..Is it a 223 or 262?

    Most likely it is a 223. The casting number is on the front corner on the drivers side. You could cross reference the number to be sure.

    Oh, i couldn't find numbers anywhere! i will have to double check in that area tomorrow, thanks!
     
  4. Ditto! You would be hard pressed to find a 262 in a '59 F-100 but if someone added it later it's possable. :rolleyes: Carb looks like Motorcraft of a later engine, 223s mostly had Holleys.

    yeah , youre right, the carb is a 64 carb, dont know what its doing on my motor, but i want to know if maybe the whole engine was a 64? I'm having a hard time finding any info on the carb, because i dont know exactly what it is..
