A tragedy waiting to happen. Hopefully tweaker-boy will never get the wild hair to do it.

Forgive my skepticism, but it reads like a carefully concocted story to connect old photos to a car that doesn't look quite the same.

Dig that A spring on the front in the old photos.

Where did the door hinges go?
Looks like the cowl just under the windshield was changed also.

Hinges are no big deal. As far as the cowl changing, that's where the "opening up the windows" part of the story seems to cover up possible issues.

I'm just looking at general shapes and lines of other parts that don't seem to match up and aren't things you would normally go after if you were working on the car – even if you were updating it. And overall it just doesn't look like the work of "tweakers".

I'm going on nothing but my gut reaction and I don't mean to disrespect, but if you are tying the black car to the orange one, it doesn't quite match and the story is weird. But then... there are definitely some weird MFer's involved in this stuff. :)

  18. No this is not made up. It is exactly the same except for the work they said their father did. If you saw their car collection in the other garage, you wouldnt be skeptical. Their father wasnt just somebody, he was SOMEBODY. I also have the matching radious rods that match so peirson car in my possison! **** ill go snap a photo right now, also look at the front axle, its the same as is the whole suspension.

look how they are hand made and bent in the exact same spot as the so cal car. unbelievable.[IMG]

  19. Their dad did the work on it not the kids. he was the car builder who was someone very capable. He did the body work from the way he got it, in orange, to the way it sits now.

I dont want to get into a shouting match about it, you dont have to believe it, but ive seen it and the photos and the do***entation back to when it was sitting with the other 4, so naturally i have no choice but to know what i saw. lol

Okay, you have now lost me.

SoCal coupe and Pierson Bro's coupe are two completely different cars. Which are you attempting to ***ociate these parts with exactly?

    Um....I need that axle. Dibs!

  22. it is that car in the photos, you could see the orange coming throught the black primer, and the orange car is pre cut the windows, if that helps you see the resemblance.

And wasn't the original Pierson Coupe built from black coupe from the 40's? I don't ever remember hearing about multiple coupes being campaigned.

  24. sorry mixed the names up, the radius rods came off the perison one.

Hey, I'm not trying to be a jerk. Those are some cool parts for sure. Neat stuff that looks like it has some real hot rod history. But you know the claims you are making with the Pierson Bros and now the So Cal coupe are pretty lofty. I think everyone is just interested to hear the entire story.

  27. it came off the orange one, which is one of the 5, thats what im trying to say! Pierson 33 coupes, there were 5 of them made at the same time, this is one of the 5. sorry for mixing my words up, got a little excited.

  28. ya im not taking offence, dont mean to be offensive either, if this is a missing peirson coupe 33, the one that i had heard of in the past, i hope im helping someone out by bringing it to light, not hutin anyone.

Ah, those do not match at all.

Both the Pierson Bros. and So Cal coupes have some seriously do***ented history with no missing pieces. I'm not saying you weren't told what you were told.
