Agree with the above. Your rods you bought(?) look like the ones on the coupe pictured above.

Where did everyone get the "tweaker" thing from by the way? I just read and re-read and read the original post yet again and no where does it mentions tweakers...

So go on a crusade to convert the current owners to HAMB members so we can dig further and get the history.

You say it was their late fathers car/s. Are they considering parting away with these or is it safe to say that they are keeping them in their posession?

I put the two images together.

    Attached Files:

  13. "apparently he was the artist who taught chip foose how to draw etc"

If it was Kugel's and was(is) owned by the Tremulis family, that is DEFINITELY a piece of hot-rodding history! Alex was into Bonneville...that's him on the left.

Wow, my head hurts just reading this thread. Cool car regardless, hope it gets saved from a street rod fate.

Yeah, original poster "theloosecannon707" has gone back and edited the original post at least once. There were references to the "tweekers" living at one end of the garage and the son being a "tweeker".

My A-100 has some orange paint under the primer..... Nah, just tweaking ya!
You sound a bit quick on the trigger yourself....
State facts, then what MAY be possible. Don't jump to conclusions and expect us to tag along....

  19. Just curious...what is a tweaker/tweeker. Guessing it is someone that twists the truth of is it simply someone that buys a finished car and tweaks it to their taste? Never heard that saying before.

This just keeps getting more interesting. Try digging up a little more info or get the guy signed up here to give the real story on this car. Great car that needs to be done back to the way it was in its earlier years.

Thanks for clearing that up guys. I don't mean to be a P-A, just kept reading the tweaker thing and was wondering...

  24. Alex Tremulis died in 1991, so it's not him. Is it possible that this "somebody" is Boyd Coddington (guy in the pic on the ramp truck, anyone have an early pic of Boyd). He died last year, and has ties to Chip Foose.

Yup. So far the only thing directly connecting the pictures of the black car in the new photos to the orange car on the old photos is the word of one theloosecannon707 in this thread on the HAMB.

I love the history of hot rodding. Lots of guys are willing to carefully research things for months or years. It really bums me out to see it tossed around like this – presented as fact and changed on the fly.

loosecannon - Go back and read over this thread – taking into account the stuff you have edited out since it was started – and see how disjointed it is. When you're talking "barn finds" and cars that have disappeared for decades suddenly reappearing credibility becomes a pretty key part of the equation.

It is someone that uses an illegal narcotic to stay up for days on end and usually start about a dozen projects and never finish them due to lack of concentration from said narcotic. Scary stuff when a famed hot rod is within their reach.

tweeker - A methamphetamine user. Tweekers are known for their extreme paranoia, flagrant dishonesty, and lack of non-tweeker friends
