The most amazing BARNFIND happened to me and my friend yesterday

  1. This is a new twist now ... seems they have removed the roof completely, welded on a '38 olds roof, and are about to install a SBC. You can clearly see some red/orange paint on the rear quarter. The plot thickens.

I think you may have brought it upon yourself.

First thing I thought of was that post....

I for one can say this thread is all over the place but to LooseCanon's (fitting name?) defense I would have posted this right away as well. I mean, my mind would have been racing all over the place if I seen car tucked away like that. I would not have thought twice and posted my immediate thoughts and sorted the rest out later as he's doing. For all you jaded old hands this is just about the coolest thing that could happen to a relative new comer to Hot Rodding. **** finding a car like that history or not would have been pretty rad for anyone.

Anyhow, let's try to get some concrete info and help clear up the history.

Oh well, real or not it's been entertaining. I have some buddies like that too, I just think of TALL tales like tv. If you don't like whats on,change the channel.

  7. Too bad ... I was just about to jump into my time machine, go back a couple of decades and do some research. Thats OK though, my time machine uses the breast milk from a mosquito for fuel, and I don't like taking uneccasary trips, that stuff is not easy to collect.

well, you have to keep looking...there's still some out there. A friend emailed this photo to me...he found these next to an old cabin with two huge Amazon women living there. They said for the right "favors" they'd let us have a look this weekend. I'm not sure what a "favor" is, maybe lunch or a ping-pong game or my old "WHAM" c***ettes....we'll let you guys know how it goes....

  11. I post the things here to share what excites me amd to share with others. I am not trying to offend anyone. I know some people are excited and interested some wouldnt believe it if it was in their own garage but that's life my momma told me you can't please everyone... I was sharing and found the cars I'd through the hambs help. Not looking for your approval.

Despite the rest of the thread, I LIKE being able to see very old pics of two guys finding an old race car back then. Very cool pics were posted, so I am not complaining about the outcome

  14. I still think the older guy in the photo is Boyd Coddington and the kid is Billy Joe Bob Dingwhistle II. My gramps (Schmuckles McPhucklington) memory isn't what it used to be but that's what he tells me.

You remind me of this Amish guy I know, Daniel. We were up buying some horses at his place and I asked him if he had any old cars or trucks laying around on his farm. He tells me he thinks there's a 40s or 50s Pontiac car sitting back in the trees by the barn.

So I walk back there, there's a 31 Chevy Truck sitting back there.

Cool find (even though it really isn't a barn find), cool pictures, but get some facts straight before you start labeling it what you "think" it is.

Pretty amazing that nobody here seems to know of this car. It seems like somebody would know of it.

  20. The lack of door hinges on the black car makes me wonder if this thing could be 'gl***. Oh well, I do admit the old pics are really neat.

Nope. He's not wearing a Hawaiian shirt.

I was on a job in Green river Utah and flying my helicopter back I came across a old ranch. Sitting next to a old black smith shop.(so I think) was a old 1920 something 4 door dodge. Found out it is an old pony expresses stop. No roads in or out. Next time I fly a helicopter down that way for a job I am going to air lift it out. I would not believe the story if someone told me, but sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. As soon as my INTERNET is fixed with my phone I will post pictures. 8 years ago I received a call that a guy past away and his kid wanted to sell all his old Willey's jeeps I picked up the whole BARN full for $5000.00 most where all together and running there where 8 in all and more parts then I could count. So loosecannon this has happened to me twice it's not true what they say about lighting. I can text you pictures if anyone wants or tell me how to get them from my phone to this post.
So point is all of loosecannon's story's could be true.
