Where can I find a replacement fuel tank for my 50 stude truck...sittin' on a 78 chevy shortbox frame.
Have you tried the fine folks over on the Studebaker Drivers Club forum or the Racing Studebakers forum?
Where are you located? Parker, AZ? If it sits behind the seat in the cab, and a 47 Stude truck one will work, get ahold of me.
no no no....Studebaker was the first to put the tank under the cab - between the frame - in 1949...also the first with an ALL steel bed...(cusses from some)....just get a late Chevy side tank and PUT in inside the frame rails...or....what?
This is true the filler would come up threw the cab and out the drivers side. I built the last tank for my 51 out of stainless.
PHP: then I must be dreaming when I look at my 41 international k-2 and see a gas tank between the frame rails and an all steel bed? y'all have a good day, Keith
curses...wrong again...didn't know about those pesky Internationals...have to find a pic of my old 66 IH 1 ton panel cruizer....feathers okay...had always heard Stude was the first....same with that first girl....
