a buddy of mine is moving and had this sitting around and thought of me. let me know what it is..model a frame??

don't know that much about the old frames...still has mech brake components on it as well as a muffler.

anyways, hope you can tell from the bad and dark photos.

Can't see much in the pic, but it's not a Model A.

  5. The parallel leafs indicate it's Chevy (or other GM) or maybe Chrysler. Can't see enough in the pics to tell any more.

    It looks cold. [IMG]

The front cross memeber seems to be the most distinctive feature.

  9. Not Ford. Looks like an early Chevy. I'd say 29 - 32 era

well, it is the start of the next rod project...well atleast after the 53 is done...

a few things that were strange, and might help identify...

~paralell leaf springs in the front...and rear

~strange pedal assembly, brake and clutch pedals mount to a tube mounted between the frame rails. brake pedal is on a hinge on the tube, but clutch pedal rotates the whole tube.
the rotating tube also has what looks like a clutch fork mounted on the top of it.

~the frame rails look to be the same on both ends...same downward curve with attachment points for leaf springs on both ends.
the front of the frame is pinched together more though...
    wider in the rear.

totaly sounds like early 30s Chevy to me. we have a 36 Chey truck frame here and it is quite similar. the down turned ends, parallel leaves and all that.

trade you some chassis work for some ink [IMG]...

It looks alot like a late 20's chevy frame to me. Early 30's has a kickup at the back starting in 31. It could be used under any ratrod project. Keith

It could be anything. Remember there were an ass load of manufacturers besides the big three. Rockne, Willys, etc. etc.
