Just been reading Mark Mortons June on line issue of HopUp Mag and State Senator Christine Kahoes statement about not allowing old cars on CA roads, special permits, mileage limits and trailering to events. Take the time to read this. As California goes so do the other 49 states. Get involved.

Ah...freedom. People's Republik of Kalifornia keeps giving me reasons to move out of state. Love the scenery and weather...don't like the people.

I would think her time in office will be limited,,Kalifornia has quite a large car culture,,most of who are register voters,,,time for sema to be notified. HRP

Looking through her website, she has her pudgy little fingers in everything from 911 surcharges to brake pads to riding bicycles without seats. I hate busybodies.

fer chrissake! who does she thinks has money to spend on old cars! registered voters that who! if guys living in her district would give her a FRIENDLY heads-up, she might realize she's in a center of AMERICAN CAR CULTURE. many times your REP isn't aware of how many voters are affected by poorly thought-out bills. considering that many members of her district must be older, established hot-rodders. we are after all, the original recyclers. remember, as goes california, so goes the nation.

Another reason why I hope that state would burn. All of the people can be dispersed throughout the country and join us in the "real world"!!!

Way too many people involved in the auto business to let this happen. I guess we'll have to section off some areas of the sate and start our own townships......no ****ters allowed and she falls into that category. All we need is a good wrecking yard, gas station and liquor store. LONG LIVE RODDERS!!! JOKER JASON.

We do burn every year but we are resiliant and bounce back. To us our world is real. Bu then maybe sitting in ******* rain 300 days a year is real and we don't realise it.

WOW, that's like instant political career ender there. Cali is such a car state and with all the powerful/rich car lovers there her political career will be over by sundown i would think.

I checked the Senator's website and found nothing as mentioned. (Kehoe)

There is an abandoned vehicle removal bill SB 1394 (now the fire department can have towed a car that blocks a driveway that impedes their job. The bill widens it to all emergency personel, and wherever the car is illegally parked).

There is also a vehicle brake materials bill. Also seems reasonable, but adds another bureaucracy.

Well, its a statement from one rep who dislikes old cars.On an idividual basis they all say **** like that all the time depending on who is listening. She ought to be working on the budget issues in California, but that would require real thought.

My buddy in Hunington Beach has his licensed in Nevada ,,Caladonia is already going broke ,,,imagine if a couple million old cars got licensed in Nevada how much money they'd loose ,,maybe they couldn't pay her salary ,and give her a I.O.U. instead ,,

Dunno... I can buy guns, ammo, bait, 10-40w, **** and booze all in the same store here in Cali...I can surf and snow ski on the same day...and drive some of the best roads in the world inbetween the two... try that in some other states.

This is obviously one state senator talking out her ****. Dig around and ya'll will find similar flashes of brilliance in your own state.

That being said... Its worth having a little sit down with the good senator and see if she feels like elaborating on this idea in front of the camera for all of us to get the full jist of what she has to say... so we can be sure to remember her words in crystal clear fashion while at the voting booth. :D
