I'm going to be running some bags in my '50 Shoebox. I like the look of them laying frame, so thats what I'm shooting for. I'm for sure going to run a triangulated 4-link in the back, with 3/8 lines. What I need to know (from any shoebox owners out there) is what setup to use in the front. And also what kind of compressor and controller. I want to keep this basic, simple, and as cheap as possible. I'd like to hear from, again, the shoebox guys and what kind of setups you're running. Anybody else that has recommendations for suppliers, brands, or setups don't hesitate to "speak your mind." Cutting the car up is no problem either. I checked out http://www.ridetech.com/shop/ and am looking into maybe going for their universal triangulated 4- link with CoolRide for the rear, and am still clueless on the front and compressor setups. Thanks for reading!
PM Kustombuilder here on the HAMB, he has great package deals, and should be able to give you everything you need in one kit.
Thanks for posting the thread. I've never seen that one before for some reason. And the rear is still half the battle. Its good to have some more knowledge of what I will be doing.
For the rear the Gambino setup is top notch. As for compressors I would recommend the Vaair 480 twin pack and have them send the 110-145 pressure switch. Run 3/8's line and valves. Suicide doors has a deal on the Vaair twin pack right now for less than $400 and comes with extra filters, the relays, fuse holder, and pressure switch. I'm still up in the air about my front setup, but I'm leaning towards a Fatman setup or an s10 front clip
Thanks for the help, everyone! KustomBuilder and I are going to be doing business real soon. I'm going with the AirLift [EasyStreet] Digital Crafter's Pack that has the Dominator 2500's for the front, Dominator 2600's for the rear, and runs 3/8 lines. Going to also be doing business with Gambino Kustoms, and taking advantage of their current deal on the Shoebox Tail Dragger kit (W/O bags). Now I just need to find a set of decent, cheaper shocks and I'll ready to start working!
