Want to make an air cleaner low profile so hood will clear on my dirt t.
Looked at a Holley Twin side draft #64280 not sure it would work and for $350.00 (speedway) I want to be sure. I can make a boxie type out of 1/4" flat aluminum. Question is from the top of the carb how much clearence for air flow 1" 2" ? does anyone have a part number for a small air cleaner to mount on the ends?
Any input woul be great. I am not thin skined, but lets keep it positive.
    Thanks dirt t

I made mine from a couple mandrel bend exhaust pipes welded together and a 240Z air filter.
With the pedestal it to clear the linkage it's 3.5" but without those it's only 2.5" thick. Not sure if it would be wide enough for for a 4bbl though.

    Good Luck

Thanks I did a search and read your post. I have a 4 Brl carb (Holley) I think I have 2" vertical max.
    Again thanks for your input.
