    Champagne would look rich...

Dark colors are a ***** to keep clean...even slight dust on the car makes it look dirty...and the body had better be straight.

interior is already a dark red, if your keeping it as is find a burgundy to match.

My vote is for black or silver

  5. I'd go to a european new car dealership, like BMW, Audi, or Mercedes, and look at their silvers. Silver is pretty forgiving over bodywork, and can really make a red interior pop.

What goes with a red interior?

Silver, gray, black, white, red, yellow, tan, ivory, cream.

    What doesn't?

    Green, orange, blue, purple.

You'd be suprised what a buffer would do for that red paint. I buffed a car that looked like chalk last year, ended up looking like fresh paint. That would buy you time on the cheap.

Ivory goes nice with red I think.

  11. Dark blue...or a light silvery metallic blue would look good with red.

I was working for a Buick dealer in 1979. A woman, who owned a Christmas-themed store, wanted a green and red '79 Riviera. The management initially balked at the idea, but they ended up calling the factory. Sure enough, Buick said they'd build her a green and red car, but the dealer could in no way send the car back to GM. As a result, the dealer said "OK, but we'll require 100% down payment for the car before the order will be made. If the factory, for whatever reason, changes its mind, we'll refund your money, no problems!" The lady agreed, wrote the dealer a check for the full amount, and waited for delivery. Just a few weeks later, a dark metallic green Riviera with a red leather interior arrived on the transport! Believe it or not, it was quite a stunningly nice car! Guaranteed, one of one! And she was happy as can be with her new Buick.

  13. Now that you mention it, a real pale non-metallic minty green might go well with a red interior too.

Would look cool Black, but as we all know, Heaps of prep, followed by heaps of upkeep. White, Cream or Silver would be my choice.

  17. Definetly black! Especially since it's a vert. Good luck with your tough decision.

Agreed. Just get yourself some good product, some good pads and a buffer and go to town. Even if you repaint you'll need the supplies anyway so why not give it a shot? See my signature for the product and a discount on it as well . . .

But if you're set on a repaint, here's my dad's blue shoebox with red interior. The paint color is from a 97 Ford F150.
