I just made this earlier its a little small thats why I put the lighter there for referance. If I get a good response from the m***es and critics I may make it as a knob or for mere decoration. I need your.02. It didnt photograph to well I post a pic of it in primer in a bit.
Here are some clearer pics of the shrunken head guy in primer. Hey theres some vato in the back ground Another The thing coming off the hair is a air vent for casting. Hey maybe this could become the tech for make you own knob we'll see.
Nice. Just nitpicking, a shrunken head has all orifices sewn shut. I'm looking forward to seeing it painted! PersonallyI would prefer the Tiki variety to replace the B&M T-handle knob... I loke the taillight in the background
I started to do the eyes sewn shut too but it looked to busy in such a small area. I couldnt make em as small as I wanted and get it to look right. As far as tikis that one Johnny Ace is gonna make is the **** I can compete with that.
I like it a lot! I have been surfing all morning, looking for a different shift knob. That one is way cool. BTW, I would really appreciate a good tech piece about making stuff with casting resin. I engrave gl*** and wood with a dental drill kinda thing, and would like to get started making weird shift knobs and stuff.
Like them both, and really like Mr. Sanchez if you have an extra Ill take it off your hands. Just give me a price. He will be called Dirty
This might sound odd, but... Could you make one for a column shifter? Threaded in the back of his head instead of the bottom? I love yer stuff but my custom has a column shift (auto) and that ain't changing. I'd like a cool shift knob for it, but I'd be limited to what would look cool sideways...or a typical teardrop deal. What do ya think? Scotch~!
I let you guys drill em I made the day of the dead one for my coulumn but I still drilled the bottom it still looked good. There is room on it(the sanchez) to drill it diagnol or in the back of the neck on the shrunken head. I suggest inserting a threded metal sleve in em but you can drill and tap the plastic resin (I was told this by the people at the resin place). I'm just not sure if in the long run it will hold up. The plastic is very hard like a pool ball.
Ive tried to do the tech twice now and after 20 minutes an error made it all for not. I'll try again tomorrow.
Hope you get that tech up. I made a few myself and would like to cast them, but not 100% what to use. I got some latex casting goop, but it said that it had to be brushed on. I wanted something that could be poured. Any suggestions?
Just did the tech but if its the brush on I've been looking at I hear it rocks you might wanna give it a try.
