About 10 Years ago a guy asked Me if I would go with him to look at a car that was about 50 miles from where we live!I agreed and we left on a Saturday to get an early start, In almost an hour we found the guys shop that happened to be at his house,The drive way was a long dirt road had a lot of curves and pretty long,As we were coming in we noticed that he had a big old dog that was guarding the house so we sat in the truck until he came out and said it was okay to get out of the truck. We looked at the car and decided that the car wasn't worth what he had wanted for it so we talked for a little while about how much He loved that Dog.On the way home we rationalized the money he wanted and what he would be getting in return.Seeing that he's got alot of projects and never gets anything done,he said forget it.He dropped me off and I said I would call him later.I didn't here from him for about a week and got a call from another guy that said he,the wife and him had gone back that next Saturday to talk to the guy again. While he was pulling into the driveway he spotted his dog and decided to try and beat the dog to the house, all of a sudden he heard a funny noise and a Yelp,He got out to find that he ran over the dog an killed him.He actually went to the house and tried to make a deal with the guy after he killed the guys dog,Needless to say he didn't get the car and lucky the guy didn't shot him and Bury him in the woods. This is a true story.
gotta say that if someone came to my house and ran over my dog, the last thing he'd be worrying about is not getting a car. be lucky to make it back to HIS car.
That's nuts. I'm having a tough time distinguishing between who "he," "him" and "the guy" are, though. I feel like it's an Abbot and Costello routine! A buddy of mine told me that his father caught some kid stealing from his store and gave the kid a little "scare." A month later, my buddy's father gets a phone call from someone at a local company, saying that the kid listed him as a reference for a job. Some people are just too stupid.
got to agree with the first person if some SOB ran over my dog there going to a box or a long hosp stay & i am going to jail till the jury finds me with in my right (most people have pets so its not like your going to get found guilty ) its one of those watch your driving numnuts storys but i would pref to hit a kid over a dog as kids should be tought not to run intto a street and i cant tech my dogs anything ...............
Seems like I'm in line with the dog lovers, anyone hit my dog and had the balls to ask if my car was for sale would lose them without question.
A mate of mines grandfathers cattle dog used to chase tires I was always dead careful driving into the farm, stupid damn dog.... it took a nip at the tractor tire one day worse thing was the tractor was slipping in some mud at the time picked up and ran over the dog, got the tractor moving again and muddied the dog up a bit ) dog musta has a rubber fetish I think it used to nip the top of gumboots and the like too.
