Wiring a power antenna

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 38fordpickup, Jun 5, 2010.

  1. I'm doing a few mild custom touches on Ozelle the '55 Ford, including a sunken antenna using a power antenna that I took off a late 80's vintage Nissan at the friendly local junkyard. Need some help on how to wire it. My radio/CD player has a single blue wire on the back that goes to activate the power antenna when the radio is turned on. There are 5 wires going into the antenna: blue, black, yellow with red band every 3/4 inch or so, green, and green with black stripe. Send me a PM if you've got an older Nissan wiring diagram that tells how this thing is supposed to be wired. Thanks!

If you call up your local Best Buy with a car audio install bay (or probably any other place that does car audio) and ask them, they should tell you. They might be hesitant, but it normally works.
