Hi everybody,So glad I stumbled onto this forum!!!!After 40 years away and now retired I`m ready for another proud ride.1st car was a 53 merc.ANY OTHER FLATHEAD LOVERS OUT THERE?Any help or direction on places to look near Wilkes Barre pa for project cars,older junk yards etc. would be greatly appriciated.Just moved here 2 months ago. thanks for all the great stuff on here!Building another car was just a thought ,now it`s a mission.
Welcome. Hmm, are there any flathead lovers here? DUH!! (smiling) Yup, there are lots of us and more joining us every day. Looks like there is a resurgence of interest in these flathead engines. Do a search for "flatheads" and sit back and read. Lots to learn and share here. Even some stuff those guys with rocker arm engines have something worth reading!! (jeesh, calm down...kidding!!)

Both ,old and love old flatties but then how many new flatties are there?One time member of Flatheads Forever,man thats a long time ago.I had a 49 sedan when I was in my teens,offenhauser heads and 2 deuce intake,magneto and headers one of my buddies welded up for me.It could hold it`s own against those built 283 chevys and 312 fords. /
