  3. To my knowledge, it's a fairly old hot rod trick that's been around for decades. I've always liked the look a Model A with the firewall flipped. Here's a link to a recent build, Seret's Orange Jalopy Coupe with the firewall flipped. Hope that helps you out.

Someone here on the HAMB has a really great one, reversed, but they keep the original 2-3 inches of the stock firewall. You really had to be into Model A's to catch the fact that it was swapped. Wish I'd made a note of who did it.

Probably as many ways of doing it as there are people reversing a firewall.

This is my version. Drilled out the spotwelds holding the firewall in. Also had to recess a area to clear engine. The biggest problem was modifying the areas that come down to the frame on each side, especially as I wanted to keep the forward frame mount bolt. A bit of shaping and welding and it is a go. Moved the recessed area back about 4 inches and kept the raised beads from the original. The sides of the recess were rolled with about a 1 inch diameter roll were they weld to the firewall and the recess.

If you are talking to me, it is a '32 tank mounted out back.
