Event Coverage Sins Of Steel 10, good weather, good friends, good show!

  1. I had a great time at the show on only my second outing since getting the car on the road. The trip down and back went smooth and it was well worth the drive.

The show was awesome. Great turnout and the quality of the cars was top-notch.
I enjoyed meeting a lot of new Hambers and getting caught up with several I haven't seen since last summer.

Loveoftiki - Great to finally meet you and YES, you were right about my headlights!!!

Lonewolfnoclub - that was me chatting with you and danimal (next to paintfumesmahgee's blue '34). Nice to meet you also. love your car!

Danimal - great job getting your sons involved in the hobby. They seemed like great kids and it's nice to see what the next generation of hot rodders looks like.

A big thanks to everyone involved in the show - The Poor Boys, Peckerheads, Nightmares, and anyone else who helped out. Great job - you've got a right to be very proud.

    Can't wait 'till next year.

Awesome Show well worth the four hour trip to get there as always. A bunch of great cars and some good old fashioned minibike races.

Great first year show and thanks to all that had a hand in putting it on. Next year the mini-bike will be done and I think I'll cheat by having Danimal's youngest son ride it in the race. Remember the old saying "old age and treachery will overcome youth and entheusiasm every time":D

  5. I'd have to agree, even with the nacho cheese dorito smile. Was this before or after she sat on her plate with ketchup on it . Ah, good times. Special thanks to Brad & Aaron for cooking up the burgers and dogs. We all had a great time. Thanks for posting the pics, Aaron. My dad took a bunch, but his memory card crapped out and we lost 'em all. He had a great shot of the convoy too.

That sucks that you dad's card crapped out! Garett took that picture, so I think it was before :)
Looking forward to meeting more people this summer as well. Have to plan some more things to get together with. Woodward etc.

  7. Oh yeah! Great show. I thought it was bigger than previous shows held at that location.

Next year PLEASE do go-kart races too. If you do then that means I'll have to bring my truck, which also means I can do the burnout contest. There's a win-win right there :)

Lonewolf, I saw you for a second and was gonna run over and say Hi but I got interrupted by someone. We will meet, I really wanted to take a look at your car. That Roosevelt sticker in the back window is getting so much attention it's funny.

Funny i havn't heard any complaints about having to park on dirt. Sounds like someone should keep her mouth shut about our show from now on!!!!!!!!!..........You can have the grass and river we will keep the dirt and real hot rod's.

I think that the main person with the complaints was at home mowing their law.

  15. Dudes, LET IT GO!!!

    S.O.S was a GREAT SHOW! I had a blast.

Billetproof was also a great show - different this year, but still great.

I will plan on attending both in the future. Each has it's own vibe. There were lots of cool cars and great people to hang with at both shows. It's cool that we now have 2 traditional shows in the state.

I know there were/are a lot of bad feelings about the split. Get over it. You guys proved you can pull off a great show on your own. Awesome. Be proud.

    BUT MOVE ON!!!!

The bickering needs to stop! We all get it - you figure Boomer got screwed. Alan says he didn't - Most of us don't really know (or care) what really happened. What we do know is that the constant flaming does nothing positive for anyone and and will tarnish your image in the long run.

If the constant flaming makes people feel like they have to choose a side, you will limit a large portion of your potential participants. Don't make people like they have to choose and everyone will be better off! There is room for both shows.

A fellow Hamber has the Signiture "Never argue with an idiot, those watching won't be able to tell which one is which". How true.

Kick ass show, it couldn't have gone better. It always goes by so fast though, even though I got there before 8:00 it seems like I had a couple of beers and bam! the show was over, at least I have the pictures and sunburn to remember it by!

We had a good time there & I'd guess that both shows will get better every year. Boomer & George seemed to be having a good time too...

BTW that bug was KraZy!!

  27. Thanks for coming out and supporting the show. I hope martyn got his coupe home ok. If he lives in Northville have him PM me. There is a good cruise night he should come out to on Tuesday evenings not far from there and he should come out

  28. Had a very good time, caught up with a few good friends I don't see nearly enough of and overall I thought this year was the best show out there in years. Many of the great rides out there have already been covered above, so for those that couldn't make it, here's a few more images you might enjoy to give you a sense of the vibe...Please stop by next year.

For me, this first shot summarizes why Sins of Steel was so enjoyable-there's always something fun going on....

Nice rural location helps too...you can really let your hair down when you're not in the dead center of a tourist trap part of town, if you know what I'm getting at...
