With Ryans permission We are starting a new radio show The Hot Rod Hour on Monday nights 6pm to 7:30 pm Arizona time. June 7th is the first show at our new location. Live at the Sand Bar in Chandler Arizona (Ray and I10) with a Monday night car show. Bring your cars. Listen on the Web at Live365.com search rev it up Ryan will be a featured guest in an upcoming show. We would like to get anybody on here on the show as well. If you own a shop, built a hot rod, or just plane love them drop me a line at tmikla@q.com I'll post any updates and guest info as it comes up. We are by no means professional radio people but we all love hot rods and like to have a good time. So give it a listen and let us know what you think... Thanks Ryan!! Tom
08racer ... cool deal ... I'll definitely be checking out the live stream and/or the podcasts. NOTE: HAMBer Cruzerdog has been co-hosting a similar radio show since 1993 ... broadcasts on KSTE 650 AM (out of Sacramento, CA) every Saturday @ 9:00AM PST ... the 1 hour show streams live on the net at kste.com ... caller line is 866-331-8255.
Jalopy Joker Interviews, talking about shows, up coming show and swap dates and general BS. The panel we have seems to like to talk. HEMI32 thanks for the info I will check out his show. Ours is really new and the first couple of shows were on the history of Hot Rodding and people who made the industry. Not really sure what direction its headed in but we will see.
I hope you'll have podcasts for download. I'll never get to listen to it live but would love to check it out.
We will bring some cars down. I apologize that you are forced to work with the likes of Charles and Doug.
yeah Charles and Doug are a little bit challenging. ha ha. Brian (from so cal speed shop) seems to be the only one with his **** together. jk
I look forward to it. Be sure to post a reminder a day or 2 before. What time is that gonna be for us on the Right Coast?
It will start at 9pm back east for the hot rod show and 10:30pm for the racing show. 3 hours different.
I know it sounds great, but isn't a hot rod radio show like an Art 101 cl*** for drawing ****s on radio? How the heck do you do it without the visuals? Gary
yeah but the plan it to get some good guests on the show and be somewhat informative about stuff. Like talk about builds and different stuff you can do. We are working on getting some Hot Rod Legends on as well. Describing cars on the radio is not what we want it to be about. But we do want to create a monday night car show around the show. Its more cooler to have a radio show with lots of Hot Rods around.
Need to get this thing syndicated nationwide like Click and Clack the Tappet Brothers with Car Talk on NPR.
Sounds interesting, but the station's website makes makes it seem that the program is about racing. I guess they kind of lumped the two shows together & it came out with a racing theme. If there's a broadcast from the Tilted Kilt, it's a double shame there's no visuals. Yeah, well, I used to listen to the Lone Ranger on the radio, so I guess I can revert for the sake of the hot rod subject.
We started at the Kilt but we are no longer there. New location is the Sand Bar. Better talent as well. Maybe we can do a video cast or something so you can see the girls.
Ok we are Back after a summer break. We ditched the ****py radio station and are gonna do via webcast. Live365.com search rev to find it. Or they tell me you can get to it via our web page <style><!-- .hmmessage P { margin:0px; padding:0px } body.hmmessage { font-size: 10pt; font-family:Tahoma } --></style>www.revitupradio.net This is also a car show so if your in the area please stop on by. The weather as cooled down now so come on out. We have a guest car for every event. If you would like to be the show to talk about your car let us know. If you own a shop or have a hotrod related business let us know. Thanks, Tom
