So have had nothing but bad luck with Howell's for sheet metal patch panels on my A sedan, trying to locate vendor who will send the right parts and will actually try to answer the phone and not try and feed me BS. I have a 27T front half of a touring that needs cowl, rocker and rear quarters if you call them that on a modified. Anyone had a good experience and a good vendor to recommend?

Get yourself a Model T catalog from Mac's Antique Auto Parts
    by calling +1800-777-0948

Their catalog is just so much better than anything else around.
It will be the best investment you will make.
They have a good range of replacement parts and sheetmetal.

For sending outside the USA I think they have a $5 fee.

    I am over Howell's.

  6. Too bad about Howell's. They did me right, but I hear nothing but negative now. I'll have to ride out there next month or so and find out what's what.

Howells supplies sheetmetal to Mac's. Hard to get around them. When I got my '26 patch panels from Mac's everything was on back order because the fella from Howells was on vacation. It took about a month to get them. Quality was good though.

There is a guy in Austin that makes panels for them but damned if I can remember his name. I bought some lower door panels from him at Pate and they were nice. Maybe some of the Austin guys know him.

Not a problem, as the big outlets seem to be able to get Howell's to perform for them.

It is just us little guys with no leverage that get screwed around.
I can tell you that Howell's supply to a number of Parts Sellers around the country, but when they call on the phone Howell's will pickup and answer the call.

Plus if the part is screwed up you can go back to your Parts Seller who should go into bat for you etc.

I also know that these Parts Sellers get priority of supply, so that is where most of us are having the problem, right.

If anybody has looked at the Mac's catalog I am sure they would have been impressed with its great color pic's which makes it easy to see what you want and be sure you are ordering the correct item etc.

This catalog sure shames some of the other Part Sellers efforts.
