Jeffery I am really like those hubcaps. They look great on the car and that picture is really nice. Please bring the car out to the west coast so we can see it too! :D Otherwise I will have to take a trip back there with the Lincoln.

Haha!!! Windwings would be nice so that some fresh air blows in though! Thank Andy!

Jarzen, you had the car in the West for a bunch of years!!! This is Axle Idzardi's old car and he got it form a guy named Sheldon in Long Beach I believe. It might make it's way back over there once it's painted. At the very least it might go to Austin next year. But before you West coast fellers can see it I have some loose ends to take care of. I want to make sure it's proper before she comes out.....dark maroon paint, stainless chopped, white steering wheel, and new grille surround with floater perhaps. :D

  7. I walked over to eyeball your car while you were looking at all the Deuces,,,very nice car! HRP

There's a bunch of people that had the same response. They all are "ohhhhh
yeah I remember hahah" It one of those cars that is almost at the point of being memorable I think. It's just missing a few things and perhaps a different color paint before people will remember the car. I feel that's the perfect custom car for me. I consider my self more of a Hot Rod guy but I love customs. I am not sure I would have it in me to build one from the ground up. So getting this car with a nice chop and a solid platform that I can nit pick and change a few things to make it my own and "complete" it is really right up my alley.

I'm not sure it'll ever reach the level of your Lincoln Jarzen but it'll be a nice car that my family with enjoy and put a lot of miles all while doing it with a bit of style I suppose. I hope I can hold onto this car for a long long time if not forever. My fear is that it might have to be sold once I start my '32 Coupe. If I can figure out a way to finance that one with out resorting to extreme measures then I'll be golden. But for the last year I have been putting together my '35 and I have been depleting my inventory over here to pay for it and that car is ten times the car my '32 is. Who knows where I'll be financially. I'm grateful to have it now and if it has to move down the line I will have been grateful to have had the experience of owning it. And don't worry your Side teeth will be on it this winter!!! Thanks again!!!

Jeffrey, That Merc is Sweet! My daughter and I looked at it on Sat. @ Puckett's. Didn't get a chance to talk to you, but wanted to wish you good luck and congratulations on the upcoming birth of your son. I'll try to get by the shop on a Wed. night sometime. Later.

I would love for you to shoot my bike! Where is the building in the background of those new pics that you posted? That's awesome! Looked like perfect lighting for those shots.

Agreed 110%! that front end looks great just the way it is,there are guys on our 52-56 Ford social group that would trade a left nut for a Merc front end scoop and all.

  25. Was that a kit you used when you grafted the Merc nose on the 85 LTD or did you just dream it up yourself?

them hubcaps look neat-o, but I bet 150 spoke Daytons would look better!!

I hip to that Daddy-O! I am still in love with the grille idea that was shown at the beginning of the thread. The one where the bumper is lowered over the bottom and the flare is extended. Only instead of a tube grille I would love to see some sort of floater bar in there. Need to get it out to you huh?>

Statesville. I have a couple other places I would love to shoot it. We'll definitely have to do that

    Thanks!

Fag. Don't you have more brush painting to do on your rat rod?

And so this chapter of my life is coming to an end. The Merc is loaded up an on trailer heading to it's new owner tomorrow morning. I hope that new owner enjoys the car as much as I did if not more and I hope to see the car "finished" one day....not that it's not finished right now but I still believe the car deserves a dark shade of maroon.

I traded it for something that I believe suits me better and something that I might not have got a chance to own otherwise. Details will follow when it comes back and is safely in my garage. I really need to find a way to fit my family in these tiny little hot rods. Hahahaha!!!!!

  29. Wow, I still can't believe you finally landed that Chrysler mini van with the built in child seat. Too bad it's not leather, but at least it's a vinyl woody! Probably suite you a little better, pops ;)
