Although he resides in NJ, and not in the midst of the So Cal hot rod scene, he just may be the best living pinstriper in the world. No offense to all you other stripers out there, but this guy is the King! Here is a car he did for our local car collector Roger Morrison. Lots of hot rod history to preserve and he nailed it. Have a good one Alan!

I finally met Alan at KKOA in Salina KS last July, I was pinstriping my way to Sturgis. He paid me the high honor of complimenting me on my art. Then I paid him for his book "How to Pinstripe", great reference for beginners to pro. "Happy Birthday Alan" a true 'Brother of the Brush'. Alan wrote in his book to me "Just get that brush and have fun". What a great guy helping to p*** the torch. How many candles on the cake this year? Ken Smith, Old School Custom and Speed.
According to his HAMB profile he is a youthful 63 years old.http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/member.php?u=9084
Happy Birthday old man! Your the best and a good role model for the rest of us. If I end up north I may hit you up again for a place to sleep. I may crash in the layout and design area this time. HAHAHAHA
Happy Birthday, Alan! I had the total pleasure of getting to know Alan a little at several events this past winter after being a admirer for some time. He's a true artist and a fine gentleman... Here he is at the Milwaukee "Pinstripe Legends" charity panel jam in Febuary. I own that superb panel! A few weeks later at the Detroit Autorama "Motor City Auto Arts" panel jam showing a "young gun" how's it done... Congrats, AJ! Joel

One of the highlights of last year, when we were in Salina, Ron Myers introduced me to Alan last year. Had a chance to talk to him about the job he did on the Kopper Kart. Very kool guy!! Happy Birthday Mick
