The stock shocks are the biggest detractor as far as ride goes in the rear. I went down six inches back there and the stock shocks are fully compressed at ride height. I'll need some new ones for sure. I'm also on the bumpstops on bumps (but not stationary).Trimming those or using new poly ones will give me about three inches of travel. That with new shocks in the back should have the rear good to go. But it rides ok for now. Wait till you see pics, it looks killer!

I'm waiting to do the same type stuff in the front after I get the drop axle in the next couple of months (fingers crossed).

Thanks again for those springs! :D

Jeremy had some bushings that were close enough to work. Thank goodness! It looks waaaaay lower in person than that pic suggests. The jack barely goes under the rear bumper, lol. :D Too bad you couldn't stick around to see the finished product. I finally finished up just before 10.

    Joe,

Thanks a ton! By the time I finished last night, it was dark. So I haven't seen it in the daylight yet either! I can't wait...

Thanks Robert! I am super stoked. Having it lowered has given me new inspiration. As far as I'm concerned, no mod makes as big an impact as lowering.

    Here's some more...

Here's a good side shot that gives you a good idea just how low the rear is...

Who likes that Hank Williams song "Lonely Tomb"? I know I do.

I was strollin' one day through a lonely graveyard when a voice from the tomb seemed to say...

...I once lived as you live. Walked and talked as you talked. But from earth I was soon called away...

...All those tombs, lonely tombs, seemed to say in a low gentle tone...Oh how sweet is the rest in our beautiful heavenly home...

One day, I'll have one of these...and so will you. Live now, enjoy life, spend time with your family, do something you love...

Hey - I like the way the truck sits now. Doesn't need a dropped axle at all.
    Well done Terd!

Thanks a bunch! Seeing it lowered has kind of lit a fire. A fire of excitement! Seriously, I'm super stoked how it turned out. Thanks!

Thanks brother! All your hard work keeps me inspired!

    Hells yeah!

I dig the stance and the chrome wheels. The color looks a little funny, kind of yellow. I appreciate the effort though! I see in my head the same dusty gold you're thinking of.

Thanks for the kind words! After seeing it in the pics, I may be starting to waiver on the drop axle. I think I may be starting to like it better in my shots vs. Jeffy's photoshopped rake.

Hahaha! You're calling me a youngerns. I'm old enough to be your cool uncle. :D

I'm pretty sure I can speak for Jeffy, that's what we had in mind when we were talking about a dusty gold. That color is sex! Do you have any more pics of that truck? Thanks Joe!

    Thanks Ron!

Thanks Rob! I don't know if I'll make heavy rebel or not. I'd sure like to. It depends mostly on my daughter's cheerleading camp and practice schedule. It's being worked out now.

Thanks cousin! I think I've mentioned a couple of times, but I'm super stoked. It's finally got the sound and the stance. Even though I'd done plenty of work before this, I never really felt like I've made any big changes. Not any more. I'm kind of starting to debate in my mind whether or not I need a drop axle after seeing these pics. And for the belly burner, I'm ready! The chrome wheels might take a while, that costs money, lol. :D
