I've been reading that you should have a 100 micron filter before your electric fuel pump to avoid cavitation, but I found this out after I had already installed my 40 micron... I don't have a problem switching it out and doing the "correct" thing, but wanted to run it by you guys first since 100 micron filters are not cheap! I'm running a Summit pump (140gph, 14psi) and their regulator which will dial things down to 4.5-7 psi since I'm running a carbureted 5.0. Let me know what you think.
I'd leave the 40 micron filter in the system and try it out. As long as it doesn't restrict the fuel, that's good enough. Bob
