I have now removed my tilt column and installed the basic column I made for the IH.

I have begun splicing the stock instruments from the IH into the '88 Chevy harness and I ran into a snag.

The signal switch I purchased off CL is this-

It has three wires- Left signal, right signal and power in (I ***ume). I'm running a two wire tail light in the back. The brake lights and turns worked fine before I pulled the column.

It has the flasher built in. When I attempted to hook it into the stock harness, I could the Chevy flasher to make noise, but it would not turn the signals on. So I wired it up using the flasher in the aftermarket switch. Now I have the flasher on the aftermarket siwtch working and the turns/hazards all work.

In the process, I lost brake lights. In the stock Chevy diagram there in a wire that runs from the old Chevy turn signal switch to the brake switch and then to the fuse box. I'm ***uming I need to wire this in to the signals somehow, but I'm confused on how to do this.

I will take pictures today to try and help explain. Otherwise I'll have to see if I can byp*** the flasher in the aftermarket switch and run everything through the Chevy relays (which I tried to do and failed before).

I know this is a bit off topic, but you are all so smart!

    Please help!

Have you opened up the case and checked for more solder points to wire the brake signal through and also point to solder the rear lights to? It seems like a switch I had that only had the front light wire attached. I thought it only worked like your until I opened it up and saw the other connections inside.

I don't believe your turn signal switch is compatible with what you are trying to do because there's not enough circuts.
