OK, so maybe it was not an invasion, but a nice change of pace...:)

For their 33rd annual Cincinnati Concours, a special cl*** was set up for historic hot rods and another for beach cars. This was in addition to the cl*** already set up for vintage race cars.

Our families 32 Roadster was invited to participate in the event. I was only be able to make it over for the show on Sunday.

While many of the cars there may seem off topic to the HAMB, all the proceeds go to the Cincinnati Childrens Arthritis foundation. More info at their websight www.ohioconcours.com

If I could have driven away in any vehicle there, it would have been this 1949 Kurtis Sports. Abolutely jaw dropping. Owner, Mr. Ashmead, could not have been more pleasurable to converse with.

Best in cl*** for Historic Hot Rods went to Mr. and Mrs. Claude Kern and their beautiful roadster. They are from Bedford, IN. Karl Kinser built the roadster for himself, but then decided to sell it, minus the motor. Current owners have been married for 50 years and have owned the car for 50 years. They installed the motor for their honeymoon!

If you have the chance to visit a concours and have not, give it a shot. Like at all car shows, you have folks with lets say 'distinct personalities', but all were nice and treated us very well.
