Just googal Goodguys rod and custom association. They show lots of pictures. I heard Colorado Goodguys show this year will be a little different. The main exhibitor building roof just collapsed from wheight of snow so they tore down the building. It would of needed major structure rebuild to fix .
Check out other threads alot of guys post some good pics of events all over the country, click on the search tab and type in good guys.
I can tell ya what you wont see at the Good Guys in Des Moines.......... members of Detroit Road Devils, Los Punk Rods, Lucky Bastards, Bare Bones and others............. but they WILL be at the Vintage Torque Fest in 3 weeks. yes - this is a total hijack but I gotta get the word out. And YES - you will see me at the Good Guys in July as well - I will have the '35 Ford 5 window there I will NOT be selling there though. Can no longer afford it.
well, if you go to Goodguys at Indianapolis, you will NOT see a model and pedal car contest any more. The old timing tower where the contest was held was torn down, and the "Good"guys didn't bother to find another room for the contest. You WILL find a lot of billet stuff, cars with ugly wheels that cost $10,000, and approximately 7,000 red fiberglass '32 fords with small block Chevy motors. BUT, if you venture away from vendor's row. Get away from the concessions, and the dragstrip- out near the fences, you will find some great cars built by guys with more skills at mechanics and fabrication than check writing.
Hey - you can always go over to Culbertsons for the great after party at the Good Guys - THAT is a fun time fer sure............. and alas I wont be at the Good Guys event this year in Indy - once again - cant afford to set up as a vendor anymore. That is always a fun weekend though and about the post I just put up above - who knows - maybe those car clubs WILL go to the Des Moines show - that is a pretty great show. One of the best Good Guys shows in my opinion. and I have been to just about all of them. So I hope to see some of ya'll at the GG in Des Moines. And the Kansas CIty Good Guys - everyone knows that the cool kids all show up at the Greaserama on Labor Day weekend.
I love the location of Del Mar - but are there really any bad spots in San Diego area? The quality of the cars at that show was really high when I was there
When in Indy don't forget Godspeeds and Walts hot rod shops in Brownsburg, only about 5 mins from ORP. Bubbas new shop now in downtown speedway, all have partys when GG are in town.
Indy Good Guys is one of my favorite shows each year between Godspeed, Bubbas and Culbertsons and the hotel party at nite how can you go wrong?
