If you want the official definition, I can give it to you.

The area I supervise here at BP makes it.
It is a very light hydrocarbon. To the lyaman, lighter fluid would be about the best ****ogy. However, there is light and heavy naphtha.
It usually contains high levels of benzene, so be sure to take proper precautions when you use it. (rubber gloves and respirator)
The lighter naphtha's are used for blending stock in gasoline.
It believe it is outlawed for private use due to the benzene levels.

I see everyone yawning, so I'll stop there.

    cannibal,,,

I have a gallon of gloss and a gallon of low gloss...

I plan to use them for my frame and inner fenders and whatnot,

my buddy is a cheapskate and used it for the roof on one of his "rat rod" cars, the gloss black, and it turned out nice looking.

it has a long dry time, it stayed tacky for a while.

another cheapskate buddy used the john deere green for the body on his car, and it looks ok.

I am planning on painting my frame when i am on thanksgiving break. I can let you know how it goes...

but i am also gonna be real busy working on customers cars... might not get to it.

Did your buddy thin it with Naptha to spray it?

yes. he thinned it and loaded the gun, We all took turns spraying, i had the best technique, so i did the most spraying.

it went on well, we did a few coats to make sure, about an hour in between each coat, or somethign like that, we just took a few good long breaks.

just give it plenty of time to dry I went back the next day, and accidently put a finger print in it [IMG]
