Ok, hang on guys, before all the ****** jokes start. I have a huge problem, I guess I parked a little close to the garage the other night, and when I pulled out a hanging out nail grabbed the wood and chipped it. It's a '51 Ford with original wood. I don't know a thing about repairing wood. I can put a flathead in a model A, but can't fix wood. Is there someone that can fix this in Southern California? Please refer to picture, the chip is actually about a dime in size. Thanks for all the help.
Ouch. Actually, this doesn't look too bad; it's what happens when we drive. If you aren't comfortable repairing the wood yourself, there are plenty of Woodie experts in Southern Cal. You might start by contacting the Southern California chapter of the National Woodie Club: http://www.socalwoodies.com/index.htm They'll be happy to point you in the right direction. Or, in this month's club magazine, there's a full page ad for "Woodie Heaven" in Orange. You can call them at 714.998.2046. The ad claims no job too big or small. Good luck! -dave
