I just thought I might post these. I found them at the local flea market yesterday. All of these are promo models that someone customized years and years ago. I guess like they say, you can't fake real patina. :D

I built this one nearly 20 years ago from photos for a good friend.
After he died his wife returned it to me.
His son now owns the (real) truck that was updated in 70 from what you see here.
He had this pickup I believe since 48 and this is how it looked in the late 50’s.

The '59 T-bird is a promo. All the rest are original AMT annual '58 and '59 3-in-1 Customizing Kits. Nice find! I need to start going to flea markets more often.

Since the theme seems to be old builds, heres a promo model from a chevrolet dealership in 1971. The kit belonged to my dad, but was neglected and broken. I decided to transform it into the Allison Powered "Pollutionizer II" of Detroit, MI.

The Edsel is a metal friction bottom which I'm fairly sure none of the kits came with.

I was thinking and I could be wrong, but I thought the annuals still had seats and what have you that you had to clue in, The interiors appear to be all one piece molded which it's possible they are not.

Either way, they are cool! LOL

    Where did you find it?
It looks quite well done in the photos, do you know anything about it?
    Does it have a drivetrain?
