I have a 53 Capri. Looking for a proven way to put disc brakes and spindles on it. I am thinking Granada parts may work, but I cant find any info on that. Looks to be tooo similar to some Fords and Mercs from around same year or so that have the same ball joint style. I would imagine that the Granada spindles will lower car another inch or so as well cuz it does to the Mercs. I also know that Fatman makes a Cavalier rack kit for shoeboxes and for mercs too I believe, so next question is has anyone ever ran a cavalier power rack on a rear steer car like this and used one of those double u-joints? Seems like a lot of articulation to ask from a joint. Ive installed one for a shoebox, so I should know, but I never test drove after and customer never looked back to complain, so I would imagine he's content. Just looking for someone that may have done some of this stuff to a lincoln like mine. I would prefer not to clip it or use a mustang II. I have a brake master/ booster, just need disc brakes now hopefully using Granada parts. Thanks for any input!
Im about 90% sure that a Granada front end will work on the car. When you go to buy dropped spindles for these year Lincolns it is basically a Granada front end. I do not know about the steering set up though. I have all stock parts under mine so I hope there is somebody else out there that can verify this.
Also I will look around if I still have the clips. My friend frenched the headlights on mine so he may have them laying around. If not Contact Cornernfool on here. He probably has them.
