Please come help support HAMB member JIM (Luke) and his wife Shelley. Roseville resident Shelley Luke was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment. She is also in need of a bone marrow transplant and is currently on the registry list awaiting a match. Please BRING YOUR HOT ROD, CUSTOM OR CL***IC FOR THE CAR SHOW and join us for a night of kicking cancer in the **** for Shelley and raising cancer awareness. I HATE CANCER will benefit Shelley Luke in her fight against cancer and the increasing ***ociated costs of treatment (if you know anyone who has had cancer or a marrow transplant, you know how much this can cost above what insurance will pay). The benefit takes place Saturday, June 19, at the Roseville Moose Lodge in Old Roseville, CA (near Sacramento) on 506 Lincoln Street (next to the Crooked Bridge) and goes from 5 pm until 1 am. The festivities include three bands (Patrick Walsh, Brian Hanover and the lo-fi sounds of Alkali Flats), a car show, a raffle and auction (items include a signed Tyreke Evans sign jersey, weekend for two in Tahoe, signed Deftones gear and much more), horseshoes and more. Entry to such fun is just a $10 donation.
Good cause? From my perspective it's a GREAT cause!! Next week I'll be entering my 6th and (hopefully last) week of radiation for throat cancer. Besides being a continent away and too weak & sick to be there if I was out west, I wish you great success.
