I shot the deuce roadster for TRK a few years ago. That car has great history.. Joe and Mark are definitely worthy caretakers of this and many other history cars, mainly IMHO because they get driven. The deuce went through quite a few looks and power plants through the years...it even had an Ardun conversion flatty in it..with a SCOT blower... I guess nobody noticed that issue.. Spike
The Riddler and Rifleman in the same movie and no cussin'. Life was simpler back then and they didn't have big sex scenes. It's nice to see some innocents in this old world. Oh yeah and the cars were GREAT!
I notice how high the headlights are on the cars then. I think if I was gonna get really period correct, I'd jack the headlights way up like they did.
That was fun to see, thanks for sharing. I like the special effects like when they drive thru the tunnel and their voices echo. Great stuff.
I noticed that issue I'll try and start a post within a few weeks of some history with pictures to share for those that missed Spikes paper coverage.

Brings back my younger days when I was working for my dad and the coveralls were smelling of axle grease and all you really need to tune a car was a screw driver. Wait what was I saying??? That was my dad's story! I do have the coverall smell memories thanks to my dad. I sure miss the days of working for him and have a shop that looked like the one in the movie. Brought back a lot of memories. Thanks Ryan!
One of my all time favorites is "To Please a Lady" with Clark Gable and Barbara Stanwyk. It has some of the best jalopy and midget footage ever from that era and the background cars in the pits are really cool. You'd never think it was a "car" movie from the title but once you get past the inevitable "love story"....it's pretty solid stuff.
