    You will be in my prayers. And you're lucky that it is in only one place, my mom had breast cancer that spread into skin cancer. Hers was treatable as yours is.

    Just remember to keep your chin up and your hopes in the sky. Nothing but yourself can influence your opinion of how things go

    To be honest, I don't know you at all;
    you're so far away from here,
    we never met and there's a big chance we never will ...
    but :
    since you are a positive man with a positive attitude, I'm sure you'll stand it like a man, and realise that life doesn't stop here;
    it's a bump on the road, maybe a tough one, but "Thank the Lord that it has not spread".
    Translated it could sound like : a battle is not a war,
    so I wish you the very best,
    I cross my fingers and I hope you're on your feet very soon
    M.

    My thoughts and prayers are with you. Kinda early to think of this, but when life deals you lemons, make lemonade. I've had eye surgery with my right eye removed from the socket. Not detached though, but worked on and returned to position. First look at it didn't even show the white and I wasn't even sure it was an eye yet. Plenty scary at the time, but probably took it better at the time by being a kid yet, but I got so used to wearing the pirates black patch that it was weird when I could finally go without it. I know things have come a long way and really hope and pray yours is very tolerable. Just make sure to ask them all the questions you can think of as to what to expect to take as much shock and concern away as possible. Like me, it's something that has to be done to make things better, and it will be I'm sure.

    Went through 42 radiation therapies and 3 chemos for base of tongue cancer Sept. thru Nov 07. It took it toll but I never gave up hope. Prayers are always welcomed from any denomination - you have mine. Like Sir Woosh said ask all questions - none are stupid. You need to know it all, it's your body.
    You'll pull through and soon it will be behind you so you can be giving positive advice to others like we are now.
