Hello everyone. My name is Tom from Connecticut. I'm in the "DESIGN" process of building a retro-rod based on a T-bucket platform. Would like to do a sedan, but being married with two kids anda mortgage....I need to keep this as low budget as I can!!!

I'm in the pencil and paper stage of this project at this time and will be looking for advice and suggestions along this build process!!!

Anyway.....GREAT FORUM and hope to make some new friends!

    Thanks everyone for the welcome!!!!

I don't have a scanner, but I'll do my best to take a digital picture of it and post it!!!

    Basic plans are as follows:

I'll build my own chassis (Z'D front and rear to get LOW!)

    Solid front axle

Drum brakes (finned drums all 4 corners)

Oldsmobile (or maybe ford) rear axle assy.

    Steel wheels (15 x 15 rear 15 x 5 or motorcycle wheels up front)

Fiberglass (hate it, but all I can afford) t-bucket body, stretched a few inches. not sure what type of rear deck yet...may even give it a truck look with a longer "BED"
Will be painted FLAT....may go black..but also considering a flat red oxide primer.

Engine: 8 cyl. vintage, no SBC here!!

    Trans: Has to be manual!!!

Gauges: vintage looking ones TACH,H2O, OIL PRESSURE

Moon style fuel tank or may even go BEER KEG!!

That's it for now....Will post pics of drawings soon!!!
