Hey guys I just wanted to update you guys with some new pictures of my shoebox. Me and my brother Chris ( The Supersized) here on the hamb have been thrashing on it alot in the last couple months. Its still not done its just roughed in. I also still want to kustomize the tail lights and also change the front bumper because i dont think it flows exactly right. Also eventually it will be in paint.

here is it when i chopped it

Heres an old post from a while back from when i first chopped it.

    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=285002

In the mean time from then and now i have been driving it and working on my other projects so just lately i was able to get back to it.

First thing i did was weld on 56 oldsmobile headlights.

and in the past couple months i welded up all the rot...lots of boring patch panels

here is the inner rockerpanel i made. I made the ribs by marking where i wanted them, opened up the vice an inch and lined up the marks with the middle of the gap of the vice and used a ball peen hammer. It worked pretty good, but would not use this technique on a firewall or something that visible.

    outer rocker..

Then i took the entire car down to bare metal except for where i already did body work. I used 3M strip discs...it took about 3 of em to do the whole car they work excellent I highly reccomend them.

Then i molded in a heavily modified 53 chevy grillshell.

then i did about only a week or 2 of bodywork because of my deadline for the koa show in gettysburg. And also I put 1958 ford sidetrim

    and here she is

Nice job! Nothing overdone. It's hard to make a shoebox look different with so many being done, but you've done a nice job. Keep up the good work!

That chop looks great. How many inches front and back? Getting ready to do one myself and I'd like to copy that line.
