I bought this tach a while back to use in my '63 Chevy Biscayne project.
Love it, but curious where it may have come from.
    Any ideas ??
It has a switch on the back that I ***ume is for 6cyl/8cyl use, as well as the double rpms on the front.
    Thanks much,
    Bob

Heathkit made do it yourself products for hobbiest. including TV sets, if it is from them it was probably a kit. Carlg

all depends on when it was made,at one point they made some electronic products that weren`t kits to try to stay afloat in a sea of jap stuff. They closed the doors in the early 90`s.

I remember looking at the Heathkit catalogs in Junior High School (early 60's). They had lots of electronics in kit form; electric guitars to T.V.'s, to radios, and test equipment. They were for the DIY people. I think the closest thing to it now, is "Radio S****". Butch/56sedandelivery.

There was a Heathkit store in Rockville, Md. that carried all their kits. I built a few of them. I don't remember any relationship with Radio shack. I remember the tach but I wanted a real tach:D So I got a Dixco.
