I have 325 pictures that have been shared with me from alot of different people. I will get them posted here as time allows. If they were not marked as to who and where when I got them I will leave them blank and hopefully someone here can fill in the details. most of the pics I have are detailed but some like the usac from Kaukauna were not, all it said on them was Kaukauna usac, so its nice to know the year and drivers. Thanks.

Not a big deal with credit. Bob wanted as many people to see his collection as possible. Thanx.

If they ever make a good movie about Richard Lee, I wish they would focus on the time from Lee's career-ending wreck (nearly) at Daytona up through Daytona in '64 with the hemi - from that point on, it was gravy time. Right after Lee's wreck, Lee sent the boys home to "get a new car." Richard, Maurice and Dale raced 3 or 4 nights a week while Lee spent something like 20 weeks in the hospital. Many people think he had it easy, but he and the early team really grinded out a living.

I agree, lawman. sm66p, that last one is a goody. That was the first year for the K&K team, 1966 at Daytona with a 1965 Dodge, Gordon Johncock driving. Running in the top ten and blew an engine at 112 laps.

All pictures are marked unknown but I believe they are from Wisconsin area due to what I do see in the background as far as other drivers/cars. Anybody recognize anyone?

The #29 T-Bird is Bob Pankratz's lavender car. Without the front fenders, they all look to be Fox Valley Racing Assoc. cars.

Here's another really interesting one. This, guys, is an AMC. Would love to know who drove it. Taken at Tri-County weekly show in 1969 or 1970 most likely. (Negative was in a can that had those dates on the lid). Can anyone provide any info ?

Also, if you squint real hard, I sweat that's an out of focus Valiant in the upper center of the shot. (#17). Anybody know anything about it either ?

    Enjoy

My apologies, that is Ken Pankratz in the Bird. Jim Cleveland is the proverbial " Guru" on this era, definately the " go to " guy.

Hey, happy to hear Jim Cleveland is still around and kicking. You are right, he is definitely the "go to" guy.

Vegas, Larry Clemons of New Albany, Ind., in the Louisville area, raced AMC products in that time frame and used 14. However, I don't remember a Rambler. I do remember a Hornet and and a Javelin that he and his brother, Billy, both raced. There are a ton of photos on the Queen City Speedway Facebook pages, maybe that will help.

    JON Z,

No, I am in Vegas - the track was Tri-County, between Dayton and Cincinnatti Ohio.

I've moved around an awful lot !

Dang ! Blew my cover after all these years.

Rest assured, the FEDS would NEVER put anyone into Witness Protection in Vegas. People say the mob's gone. Anybody that believes that.....

Was Joy Fair the real tall guy from Michigan, who had to sit almost in "the backseat" position? I remember a guy like that at Heidelberg and Sharon, outside of Pittsburgh when I was a kid.
