If the bell and main case are two piece, it could be either a FOM or possibly a CRUISE-O-MATIC. The 59/64 FOM 2/S was a one piece bell/main case.

You are going to have to identify what you have (I gave you where to look for tag) before you can determine the type of kickdown you need. Being air-cooled, it has to be a 1956 or earlier FOM as the 2/S was fluid cooled. If the trans is the FOM, the linkage you found on Evil-Bay (1956 FORD) will be correct.

Hey kultulz, Its air cooled though. So Im still kind of iffy on what to get. Also there were 2 links on ebay, so which one to get? So would it be the 1st or 2nd ebay listing I put up? Also I think it was the second one that the guy said its for a 4 bbl, remember that Im using tri power. Couldnt I make that one work for the tri power?

It has to be the origional 3/S. I cannot see anyone retrofitting the air intake chute and convertor onto a 2/S. So the setup you will need (IMO) is the one pictured below-

The center carb on a 3 X 2 will be in the same relative position as the origional 2V or 4V, so the throttle linkage should present no big problem.

Agreed on it being the earlier Furdomatic 3S.

Kinda weird looking, almost like it came off a six cylinder.

Any tricks to adapting the c-4 to a 272, it doesn't seem like the adapters are worth what they want. will a cruise-o-matic bellhousing work on a c-4 with the right flex plate?
