What's with these philosophical questions on this boards lately? Is that a constructive way to ask a question? What are your thoughts? Can it be done? Has it been done? Will we flame you? I'll answer this with my own thoughts. Black cars with red wheels is timeless and cool. But that's if and only if the rest of your car is not a **** box. It really only works now a days if your car is dialed in and nice looking. Wouldn't try it if you're running a rusty sedan you painted black with a rattle can. Cool is cool just as it was in the day.
OK.....F#@%^K IT I TRIED . MY PIX NEED TO BE DOWNSIZED . NOT POSTING . WENT THROUGH THIS EARILIER TODAY . DON'T REALLY NEED ANY BS. I DO HAVE SOME GOOD PIX I WANT TO SHARE FROM MY HOME TOWN , FOR 10,000 PEOPLE YOU WILL BE SHOCKED. LET ME GET MY POOP TOGETHER. the meds are'nt working damn-it. thanx j.j.
Try getting a photobucket account and uploading them to there. After the upload you can copy the image by right clicking or (control clicking on a MAC) and pasting them into the little moutain moon icon ^^^^ right there.
So the Nova has twin turbos blowing into a fuel cell? Weird but I guess it works.... That '40 Chevy truck looks right on! I would drive that one the way it is Ya can't fake patina that good!
Gaahhh, I don't care what other people do to their cars... but the red wheels with black is just so damn tacky looking to me.
Here's a few versions of red rims - three of which are black cars - couple are mine, bright red one is the last car that Roy Delaney (RIP) built. You can find a thread on here about Roy being united with his old truck. Shiny roadster pic was taken in Richland, WA and a local parking lot car show around the corner from Spudnuts.
its aq trad look that those damn r rodders corupted. heres an old rod from New Zealand that has the combo and i think it works very well.
agreed.... ya see a lot of rat-rods adorned with red wheels and flat black paint. they remind me of an ugly dude in drag. lol...
gee dragsta...dunno when you got into this game, but back in the mid 50s to early 60s, black primer and red wheels (with and without caps/rings) were NEW school....if you don't like them...perhaps you're more used to aftermarket aluminum (mag) wheels or something. Denigrating cars as being tacky just because YOU don't like that look isn't real meaningful. When you've had about 140 cars and have tried everything under the sun as far as mods are concerned, then an opinion as to what is tacky just might be worth considering. As to your Avatar - monochromatic paint with no chrome and body-colored wheels might be considered tacky by some observers. dj
its called failure to communicate. it was going be a post with some neat pix. Had trouble . Enjoy , life is to short . I see you have over 10,000 posts , any of them **** ? enjoy.
Red, black, purple, pink, chartreuse..........paint 'em whatever color looks good to you. No matter what you do, the critics will pick it apart anyways. Like Ricky said, you can't please everybody, so please yourself
Here are my two: first one is not hot rod black, but has red wheels. The second one has hot rod black on the bottom, but chrome wheels.
I don't dig red w/ black for reasons others have stated.... but I do dig a sharp dark blue with red and white walls. But what the hell do you care what I think...
