Wow, had a guy I used to work with tell me about this show and it became one of the shows I wanted to make it to someday, but this sign just changed my mind. No "Pro" cameras allowed? Does Old Skool Rodz have photographic rights to that jeep or what?
The show was very different this time around,in fact it was too security millitant.We were searched,and they didnt find the liquor,but were watching from the boat with binoculars and three douche bags swooped us and confiscated it.SOme of the cars in the showcase were there last year,and some were just crap,voodoo larrys car is pretty ugly but the interior is nice,the whole car is out of proportion and has no flow.I think this show is on the down slide.The fun was sucked out of the place due to millitant security and over obtrusive rules enforced by people who dont know car culture.
No..Unfortunatly a green '54 chevy missing hubcaps has the Old Skool rights...Wasn't room for both of 'em...Congrats...
Aw shit you got me there. So maybe you can educate me? Do I have to run fake beadlocks to be traditional or would standard wagon wheels make the cut? Do I have to run BFG Mud Terrains or would some swampers work? I don't think I have the money for it all so can a bunch of machined billet aluminum powdercoated black wait a while? Can I be minitrucker cool then?

Not yet...He has been a killer offroad builder and has his own shop for 16 years and is just starting to get into doing hotrods at his shop...He just threw that jeep together in 5 weeks with offroad stuff and an old chevy truck he had...Hell of a nice guy...
First 3 yrs. of the show were really cool. That jeep........, c'mon!!!! What the hell is this show becoming??? As if everyone isn't hurting financially already then they throw a $40 person admission &no outside anything. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!!!!!!
i liked the show,, comin all the way from europe where most of em' don't even come close to this you almost have to,, but,, the security was terrible,, comin from that faraway i would love to take some pictures,, but the guy said my handheld camera was to professional,, BS!!! the food and drinks were too expensive,, the cars inside the dome were kool,, at least some of em' cause there were some crappy ones in there too,, and the lighting for takin pictures sucked!!! other than that no further complaints and i must say it was still an experience of a lifetime for me,, and i don't think larry's car was outta shape , was the baddass't one around!!!!
Yes...It is true...I woulda had a great time if it wasn't for that f'n Jeep!!! Lol I can't believe they charged to get in either I thought Obama promised everything was gonna be free?? Security was tight and beers expensive but I'll make the 8hr drive again next year had a great time...
Always enjoyed this show, couldnt make this year or last. My last show was 08, fantastic laid back show, had a great time, great people, what happened? Was there really a stabbing last year? I hate to see it split up. Sad.
One car ruined your time? And why would it be free? How the hell would they pay the bands and space fees?
^^^ I think SO-AZ is just kidding^^^ The jeep is kool IMO, not traditional, probably not even a hot rod, but it looks cool from here, the fact that dont belong here doesnt necessareley make it wrong, simply O/T. I think most of you guys are spoiled and cant appreciate more than whats under your own nose. Gilbert, can we see more of your new ride? Ive been lookin for it in other coverage threads but i found nothin but a "corner" shot were you can only see Panty and the trunk stripes.Thanx.
