I knew someone would come up with an alternative way to use those oversize shopping carts. Now I expect to see Sam's Club putting a chain and lock on them instead of just lining them up along the building.:D

Haha I love it! Let me guess how it handled; like a big block in a shopping cart?

Albertsons should be happy for the free plug. Everybody uses shopping carts for something, they are "catch and release". Or is that catch and degrease?

  12. Years ago in one of the small mags there was an article on how to cut one up and make a seat for your rod. Came out pretty good too, more like for a drag car than street.

And you're proud of stealing a $400 cart why?

This is the wrong place to brag about your thieving ways.

    I hope you get arrested.

    That cracks me up!

Reminds me of when I was a kid and my Dad borrows my Red flyer wagon, then I find a Triumph Spitfire engine sitting in it.

I've still got that magazine out in my storage.

Most of the shopping carts around here now are plastic so that blows the idea of carrying an engine in one.

If it were made in China, it would probably fold up like a lawn chair!

Just an idea here: having a shopping cart in your possession doesn't necessarily mean that you've stolen it. Some stores find it easier to discard than repair damaged ones.

    That's great!
When I worked in Hunts Point in the Bronx a while back, you'd see homeless(***umed) people pushing shopping carts full of s**** metal all the time and I swear that some of the loads were so big they probably wouldn't have fit into the bed of a pickup!! it was ingenuity at it's best, err worst?
