I'm trying to source a rebuild kit for the original AC-AF fuel pump from my 53 235ci Inline. I've heard rumours about an ACDelco Vintage manufacturer, but haven't been able to source it yet. Anyone know of such an animal out there?
I bought a kit from National Chevy Association. That was years ago tho. I'd try them. Also Kanter might sell them. There used to be an advertiser in Cars&parts magazine that sold pump kits, too.
Wasn't that long ago I bought a new fuel pump for a 235 in a national chain. They had to order it in, it took a day, but.. unless you need the extra vacuum pump on it, you don't have to rebuild it. I'd hit the usual sources for Chevy stuff for the kit -
Not inexpensive but they show them http://www.chevsofthe40s.com/shop/s...l+pump&year=1953&dept=Car&searchtype=FT&Go=Go Scroll partway down the page.
Thanks guys! I decided to order from Chevs of the 40s - give them a shot. I found that communication from National Chevy Association is poor at best (even though I dropped almost 3 large with them last year), plus some of their off-shore manufactured parts didn't fit worth a @#$%.
