Went down to Bakersfield to take a look at "Fugly". I should have it home by mid February. I hope to have a drive train in by Paso. Here ya go . . .
Craig- it looks like its weathered the time pretty well.....[obviously not in the midwest]. .....good luck on this!
I love it- "the ultra-modern merc." that is, not that^^^ I think that its great that you plan to take it back the way it was, any shots of the back?? also congrats on the pichettes delivery purchase, always liked what i saw of that car. damn, how many sweet rides do you own now???
first off "Fugly" was my buddy Franky's Merc and unless that car was deemed that name at an early stage i wouldnt come anywhere on the east coast calling it that just bit of advice good score tho
that's gonna look cool. i noticed you said your '39 was in the movie "gone in 60 seconds".. a little trivia.. the original movies director was accidentally killed filming a stunt in the early '90's... i think it was to be the sequal to the original. his family owns an auto repair shop 15 minutes from me.
hahaha FUGLY fits! Sorry slow and low but if the shoe fits...... It is cool that you are bringing back another survivor!
Paul, that's fantastic! Got any more pics of cars you built? How much do you charge for round cars? Craig
Hey Slowandlow Just a little advice. Who gives a FUCK if this guy wants to call his car "fugly". You and your pals gonna start a "rumble" er something. I dig the car man hope to see it at Paso. OOh but be carful about what color you paint it for Paso cause Slowandlame and his pals might get mad
Hey, go easy on em. We don't want to start that whole east coast vs left coast thing again. Besides, His buddy might be the mayor of the block Craig
Paul Isn't that the car we drove to Mexico for the new leather seat covers? Still can belive I fell asleep and rolled it on the way home! Paul
just to avoid any further confusion, you could call it "The All New, Original, West Coast, Fugly-Junior (II), Redux"! the lettering tab may be a bit much, but at least nobody's feelings will be hurt...
I really like the way they had the front end in the magazine. It'll be real neat to see it refined and driving again. Looking forward to it.
I was in Rogers, Arkansas yesterday and seen a car just like this one. A muffler. Is this it, or is it a clone?
I would really like to see that one. Just to see how close it is. I have the paperwork to back this one up as the original, but there could be two. Is that guy claiming his to be the original? Craig
that this is cool....can't wait to see it in the area....pm me for my ##"s,i'd be glad to help anytime..we s.f. bay area guys should start actually hanging out.-nate
I was heading back to Fayettville to met my wife at the Mall when I seen it Craig. I don't know anything else about it, but, when we go this saturday, i'll see if I can get some pics and maybe soom info. It just hit me as funny that I thought when I seen it up there, it would be the last time, then BOOOOOOMM, I see it here.
