Another new guy.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by spent, Jan 17, 2005.

  1. Hi ya'll, I thought I'd take a minute to introduce myself. I've been lurking around here off and on for a while now, and decided it was time to take the plunge and sign up.

I've been breathing for 23 years now, and I hail from smoggy central California [which means the breathing thing took effort]. As far as cars go, I've got a Dodge Charger that is my daily driver [not exactly traditional stuff, but it was my first car and it's served me well- and suffered plenty of abuse in the process], and a '62 Chevy SB p/u that I hope to get started on soon. I also recently aquired a pair of P-38 315 gal. drop tanks and I'm toying with the concept of cobbling together a bellytanker.

I look forward to hanging around and getting better aquainted with the goings on of the H.A.M.B. Hopefully I won't step on too many toes while I'm learning the ropes.

I'm actually a Clovis guy, too. I figured it was just easier to put Fresno [since you can pretty much walk between the two without even noticing]. Nice to know there are other guys on here from around these parts.

As far as the tanks go, I picked them up from a guy who has cool stuff literally coming out of the woodwork [his '33 Ford is buried under cool stuff]. I'd been asking about the tanks for years and then, last month, he says he's cleaning up the property and if I move 'em , they're mine. I was more than happy to oblige. If I can find the room and the parts, I'd like to get something going with them [and I'm sure I'll have about a million dumb questions for you guys if I do]. So far I've got the tanks and a pair of '39 Ford rims that I plan to use on the rear. That's a start, right? [IMG]
